Introduction

Hello everyone!

My name is Emily Snyder, I am a first grade teacher from Scottsbluff, NE and I am going to be teaching first grade in North Platte, NE this coming school year. I attended Hastings College and earned my bachelor's degree in elementary education with a minor in early childhood education. 

Technology is something that I am pretty up to date on utilizing in my classroom and outside of work. I have, for the most part, grown up with access to ever changing technology and tools to learn and use in a variety of ways. I have taught in schools that use Mac, as well as schools that primarily use PC. I use Mac devices for my personal technology and prefer Mac over PC, but I can switch between both easily. The past two years of teaching, I have had access to PC devices and programs. My current MS Office version is version 16.59. 

I was inspired to earn my master's degree in curriculum and instruction because I wanted to give myself the opportunity to better my knowledge of teaching and improve my classroom instruction for my students. Teachers ask students to have growth mindsets and to always keep learning, I want to follow that advice as well! Once my degree is finished in August, I look to continue to apply teaching practices and tools that I have learned about throughout the program, into my teaching. I also may seek other leadership opportunities further down the road in my career.
